I spent my first night in Yosemite in a housekeeping unit. Three concrete walls, one canvas wall, and a stockade of sorts...... After staying too long at Hetch Hetchy I didn't reach the valley floor until well after dark. I can't tell you how many times I circled the valley before finally pulling in. There are over 250 of these "units," and I think they were all taken. From what I saw and heard that night plus saw the next day, I would describe the whole scene there as very similar to LSU football tailgating without the booze. Everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun.
